The Giclée Technique of Printing
What is Giclée?
Giclée: French: spray of ink
HarlanArt prints are produced by a remarkable process that yields the finest quality graphic reproductions available today.
Giclée prints are fine art prints that will last up to 100 years with proper handling and protection from direct sunlight.
Giclée prints often exude vibrant colors and are created with archival inks. They have a wider color gamut … deeper saturated colors … and a rich, “painter-like” quality impossible to achieve in ordinary lithographic or seriographic printing processes.
Giclée Printing on Canvas
Giclée prints on canvas are museum-quality pieces that preserve the original colors with stunning fidelity.
Giclée Printing on Aluminum
These high-definition aluminum prints convey depth and detail that are so incredible, it’s almost unbelievable. The white aluminum – high gloss finish with its highly reflective properties create deep rich blacks and highly saturated colors and an unmatched depth of field.
The most common response when viewing these prints is that they look as if they are painted on glass and lit from behind.
HarlanArt prints are printed on fine-quality paper stock personally selected by Stephen Harlan. The high quality paper features a bright matte finish that renders the highest possible resolution and color saturation for a stunning finished look.
HarlanArt prints are individually produced in limited editions, signed and numbered by the artist.
